Cold Crocuses

  • I did not expect that plot. My favourite part about reading or watching something is when I really can't expect what's next, that gave me goosebumps, that was craycray. Overall, what I admired about your writing is how you managed to create this little world in my head within 30 pages, which is nothing, and you made a whole world within those 30 pages so that's really cool. I think my favourite part was when he said what he gets in return for it, but then within a few sentences you realize he gets nothing in return for it but he makes it sound positive to get through it himself, I really got goosebumps there too. I really felt the emotions of the characters with them, so yes I really loved it!

  • Cold Crocuses was very entertaining! It pulled me in the story from the first page and it was a short story, so I finished it very quickly. The characters are understandable and the interaction between the protagonist and other characters is very good. It creates some funny dialogue but also some suspenseful moments. Besides, the story has really nice worldbuilding. It takes place in an icy castle, which suits the weather right now in the Netherlands. I highly recommend it!

  • WARNING⚠️ makes you swoon and nail-bite.

Okay listen, I am seriously in love with the writing style of this short story. The main character was very relatable and I could read an entire book with her as the main character. Overall, I wouldn't mind if this was turned into a book (or series) hint to the author 🤫. The other characters were also very intriguing, especially the "villain". I will mention a trigger warning for violence, but if you can handle that, I highly, highly recommend you read it! Bonus: political intrigue and magic ✨

  • It’s evident that the writer was going for a dark fairytale vibe! The writing style was very enchanting and immersed me in a coldly magical world.
